These four works were part of a Two-Person Installation titled “Full Circle” in the Marjorie M. Post Gallery at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. The installation ran from October thru December, 2011. Ryder Richards and I installed 17 total works which referenced 8 large canvases from the 18th and 19th centuries that are permanently installed in the Fine Arts Gallery at South Plains. These massive canvases were originally part of the C.W. Post and the Marjorie Merriweather Post Art Collections. They were gifted to South Plains College in 1973. C. W. Post maintained ranches near Fort Worth and Post, Texas. South Plains college sits on land which was once part of these ranch lands. It was interesting to both Ryder and I that the American author Edna Ferber was inspired to write the novel “Giant” while on one of her visits to the C. W. Post ranches in West Texas.
